My Entrepreneurship Story

I have been exposed to entrepreneurship quite a bit in my adult life. As a teenager, I helped out in the office of a small farm equipment rental business. Currently, my husband runs his own computer/technology repair business out of our home on a part-time basis. I help out a little with his business, mostly assisting when customers drop off or pick up their devices. My husband has a true entrepreneurial spirit and is always thinking of new business ideas. The majority of entrepreneurial experience comes from working with my dad in his automotive repair business. He started his own business back in 2013 after being employed most of his adult life in the automotive industry. It was a brave leap for him, and I have been assisting him from day 1. I helped him with the initial planning and start up, and I still help him today with his accounting and other office duties. These experiences have exposed me to some of the highs and lows of being an entrepreneur, but I think it is definitely worth the effort to be your own boss.
I am looking forward to learning more from this class. I am taking ENT3003 as a requirement for my business degree, and I hope to learn many things that will help me with my real-world entrepreneurship experiences.
